Why we created Before Memory Fades
Before Memory Fades grew from years of caring for animals and experiencing how deeply their lives become intertwined with ours.
We wanted to create something quieter and more permanent than a social-media post — a dedicated place where a life can be remembered through its story, photographs and the memories of the people who knew them.
Not simply to record that they were here.
But to remember who they were.

Before Memory Fades is an initiative of Kunashni Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation working for the care and welfare of animals. Our work has brought us into the lives of many animals over the years — some for a short time and others for much longer. Before Memory Fades grew from a simple belief we encountered again and again through that journey.
Every life leaves a story behind.
And those stories deserve to be remembered
